FELIZ NAVIDAD (12.23.2013)

Surprise!!! We moved again. One of the APs called Tuesday night to tell us that we would for sure be staying in the Wiliamsfield house for this transfer. But that changed at transfer meeting. The same AP told us this time that we would be moving out of the Williamsfield house. So that’s what we did. We didn’t have time that day to move out so we packed and moved out Thursday night. The new address is 40194 N. Gantzel Rd Queen Creek AZ 85140. It’s a cute little house and I will send some pictures J I got the first two packages that you sent to the Williamsfield house and then the shoes and other thing that you sent to Cloud. I have permission from the APs to go to the Williamsfield house to pick up any other packages that come so if you sent anymore, don’t worry! I’ll get them.
So this week has just been great. Wednesday was transfer meeting and that went well and pretty calmly other than the moving news. After the transfer business, we all drove to a church building right by the temple, parked, and walked as a mission to the temple to take a picture. It was beautiful.
Then the best day ever was Thursday. In the morning Hermana Baldwin picked us up and bought us breakfast at Kneaders. Then she took us to the temple. The whole mission was split into two sessions. Then we went to the Mission Conference. It started with delicious food. We played games and watched skits from each of the Zones. Then we got to read the letters that you sent.  Thank you so much! They were just great.  We had a spiritual part as well where each Zone shared a scripture about light and the light of Christ and how Christ is the light. And then the best part yet. We each got a balloon with a little light at the end. We went outside and turned on the lights, sang the first verse of Silent Night, and then released the balloons. Probably one of the most beautiful things that I’ve ever seen. All of those lights glittering in the sky. There were 220 balloons, each representing a baptism that has happened since the mission opened. It was just magical.
I don’t really have more time, but that’s okay because that’s really what I wanted to share with you. And besides, I get to talk to you so soon. I love Christmastime and Christmas everything and I am so glad that I get to be here to celebrate it. The weather tricks my mind, but the Spirit of Christmas is still there as strong as ever. This Sunday was the best because everyone was saying Feliz Navidad to each other and I just couldn’t stop smiling and thinking how much I love my ward and the chance I have to serve in it. Life is great! I love you and can’t wait to see your beautiful face. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Con amor,
Hermana Baria
