When You're All Alone in the Country

Tell Ben to send me a picture of the ring! I want to see it :) And if they take pictures of the purposal, I want to see that too! I'm glad that the primary program went well! We're practicing for ours too! I play the piano in primary every week and the kids get pretty into some of them...you can definitely tell which ones are their favorties...Soy de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Ultimos Dias is always fun to hear haha. I did get the haircut...not the best one ever, but it works. I got one shirt and a long sleeve shirt and one cardigan. They were all out of the other cardigan I wanted so I didn't get that one. There's just limited places to look! Which reminds me, I need to get my contacts figured out since I have no other pairs other than the ones currently in my eyes.

This week has been good. It's crazy to think that Thursday is Halloween and then end of October! Friday night our WARD (not branch silly) had a party and it was fun! The kids all looked so adorable and they made me think of all my nieces and nephews. I better get some pictures of them all dressed up. Please! The adults were playing musical chairs and the last two people standing had to race to the chair when the music stopped. Yeah...ended up being not a good idea. One of them bumped into the other and knocked him to the ground and he broke his tibula and ripped the tendon (?) off the bone. OUCH! So the party was fun other than that.
On Wednesday we went to the temple and it was so great. Early though! I love the Mesa one, but I'm just really excited for when the Gilbert one opens! That will be a good day :) And I really want to see what it looks like on the inside because the outside is gorgeous and I'm sure the inside is as well.

On Saturday we went over to the house of a recent convert couple and talked with them and shared a scripture. They invited us to stay for lunch and he just whipped up this delicious tortellini and yummy salad with tomatoe and basil and onion...SO GOOD! They are so cute and I love getting to know them more :)

Saturday night we had a really cool experience with a member in our ward. We went over to share a scripture and to get to know her a better and she told us that we were an answer to her prayers. She's been struggling with some things lately and we shared John 14:27 with her and she said that we really helped her. I would have no idea that she was having such a hard time because she always seems so strong, but I guess we all have things that we keep on the inside. After we talked for awhile she got out this pie that she had ordered that day to share with us. It's from this cute little place called "Piefection" (think Cocoa Bean, but with pie) and oh was it soooo delicious. It's out of our area...I wonder if they deliver? haha it's actually probably a good thing that it's not close-by as a temptation.

Sorry that this e-mail isn't that long. It's been a great week, but nothing else super noteworthy. Just know that I'm happy and I'm loving it. Some days are certainly harder than others, but that's just life, right?? We only have 2 weeks left in this transfer. Crazy! Time flies. Oh, could you send me the sheet music to My All is Thine?? That song that I always sang while you played, but never got to sing it for anything. I've thought about it a couple of times and would love to have it. I hope all is well and that you have a great week. Send my love to the whole family!

Con amor,
