I would love to meet in the middle temperature wise. It just keeps getting hotter and hotter here! But I love it :) Summer is upon us. Yay! That is quite the last name that the new family has. How do you even say that?? That's a good song. We sing it quite frequently in the ward.
I'm glad to hear that just the word 'desert' made you think of me haha. The Rescue...that certainly is what this is since they all picked this gospel before. I think President Monson or Eyring wrote a talk called that recently. Undershepherd...I like that better than a hireling. That's a good name to describe our stewardship to other sheep. Bishop is awesome! Tell him to keep up the good work. What about inviting the neighbors over for dinner with the missionaries?? They are a part member family right? That seems to be where all off the baptisms come from :) I can't believe you can even put Jadyn and teenage years in the same sentence. It is so crazy to think that those are even close! Yeah I probably wouldn't count the cupcakes as a family visit. Not distracting at all. Just very, very tasty.
As for my week. It has been a miraculous one. Last monday night we went to try one of our potential investigators. We knocked and at first she did not seem interested and was even a little put off it seemed, but then we started speaking in Spanish (she started talking in English) and we got to talking abou the temple and asked if she went to the open house, which she did, and then we asked if there was a time we could share the temple presentation with her and she said, what about now? We were just fine with that. :) We shared it and got a return appointment. New investigator.
Wednesday was good! I went on exchanges with a sister who has really been stuggling with her companion (communication is key, that's all I'm saying.) She told me that it really helped her and helped her feel the Spirit. I was glad that it did. That's what I hope for each exchange.
Friday Edith called us and asked us to come over and when we got there, she had a whole counterfull of groceries for us. Our investigator!!!! She is so sweet! That night we had a lesson with Concha at the temple. She is so solid. I love that place. We get to go tomorrow!
Saturday we got a text from one of our investigators who we have barely taught and she said that she wanted to come to church!!! It was a struggle, but we finally found someone to give her a ride and she came and she really loved it!
Sunday the biggest miracle came!!! After church had us over for lunch and when we sat down to eat, she told us that she received her answer and she is going to be baptized!!! Yay!!! Pure joy.
This computer is a little hard to type on so I will write you a letter with more details. Just know that I am healthy and oh, so happy. Have a wonderful week.
Con amor,
Hermana Baria
