My week has been so good! Send that video my way! I’d
love to see it :) I’m
glad to hear that things are going well with getting ready for the wedding! I
can’t believe how soon it is! That means my birthday is coming right up too ;) Crossfit
is huge here! Well, actually maybe it’s not that big, but I sure notice it a
lot. I met a guy on Saturday who owns his own Crossfit gym. I’ll do it with you
when I get back! About the temple details…the cultural celebration is this Saturday
at 7:00 pm and it is going to be so cool! There are over 13,000 youth
participating. I think they might be putting it on BYU channel?? You should
check and see. Then the dedication is on Sunday and Thomas S. Monson will be
doing it!!!! So cool!!!!
So I’m a little
behind on my journal writing and that’s usually what I base my e-mails off of,
but I will try my best to tell you about this week! Let’s start with Wednesday.
That was a good day :)
We had a lesson with one of our investigators in the morning and ended up
dropping her because she straight up told us that even if she receives and answer
that this is true, she won’t be baptized.
A little silly, but better that we know! But, the Lord is so good and
that afternoon we had a lesson with a former and her friend and they both said
that when they know it is true, they will be baptized!!! And Edith (who reminds
me a lot of Grandma Baria) really, really wants to know that it is true. Then
that night we had a lesson with another potential and he became an investigator
too!!! MILAGROS!
Thursday was fun
because we went biking which we hadn’t done in a while. So fun! I actually
really like it :)
Thursday night we had Sister Chavarri’s birthday dinner at the Abreu’s house. I
love them! It was delicious and I probably gained close to 5 pounds, but it was
worth it :) I
want to be in this ward for my birthday! It’s just next transfer so there is
the chance that I can make it!
Friday was good!
We got to go to a wedding! One of the sisters in the Garcia family (who the
Elders are teaching) got married :)
And they are getting baptized on Thursday night!! It is so amazing to see how
much the gospel has helped and blessed and changed that family. It will be a beautiful
day when that family is all sealed together.
Saturday was
exchanges and I was with Sister Watford who is from England so hearing her
accent all day was quite the treat haha. She is such a sweet sister and a hard
worker so it was great being with her for the day. It meant I wasn’t with
Sister Chavarri on her birthday, but it worked out just fine and we saw exchange
miracles. Those are some of my favorite things :)
Yesterday was
great. There was an early morning baptism before church. It was one of the
Elder’s investigators. She is so great! Then church was good and afterward we
had a lesson with a potential. She is from Columbia and she is so cute!!! She
wants to learn more and learn how she can be a better person and show God that
she loves Him. She said that if she knows it is true, she will be baptized! I
love this work!!!
I don’t have a ton
of time, but know that I am happy and that I just love it here. Everything is
so great :)
It’s hard to believe that this transfer is half over! Fastest one yet and it
just keeps getting faster. I’m glad I still have lots of time left. I hope all
is well with you. Send my love to everyone.
Con amor,
Hermana Bari
