04.21.2014 - Because of Him

My week has been good. Thank you for the adorable Easter pictures! I loved them. J I’m glad to hear that wedding plans and worries are all in the rearview mirror now and that life is a little more relaxed, or at least not quite as stressful. But whoa!!! Don’t go bringing up my future wedding. Not ready for that! That’s many years in the future.
This week has been filled with great things. Monday night we found a new investigator! It was the husband of one of our current investigators. He just decided that he would start learning too. He believes in a higher power, but doesn’t necessarily believe that it is Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We talked a lot about that and testified about how God does exist and loves us so much because He is the father of our Spirits. We started the lesson with the Because of Him video and from that point on the Spirit was strong! We’ve talked about baptism with his wife before and she had always pushed it aside saying that it was something she would do when she knew, but she didn’t know yet. That night she told us that she had come to the realization that this is truth and that she feels comfortable here and that now she doesn’t see the day of her baptism being too far away!!! It was a miracle night for sure. Only problem is, they are moving to Tempe. But that’s okay. The missionaries there should take good care of them. Hopefully!
Wednesday was another night of miracles! We had a lesson with our investigator Natividad and we brought up baptism again. He had been praying about the date of May 3rd to be baptized. We talked for a while and he shared a story and got a little off topic so I shared 2 Nefi 31:10-12 and invited him and he said yes!!! There was just this moment of silence after he answered and I was so happy. J He is so great.
Friday night was our 2nd and last time helping out at the Easter Pageant. (Did I tell you we did that last Saturday?? I can’t remember.) It was great! We talked with one non-member and gave her a Book of Mormon and she wrote down her information for members to come and visit her. So cool! Saturday night we got to go again but this time with the Andrade family, our investigators. It took a little coordinating and talking it out to get them there, but they came and they loved it! It is such a cool thing.
I guess my e-mail will be a little short and sweet this week too. Things are great. I am happy and mostly healthy. I was a little sick yesterday, but seem to be getting better now. I hope that you have a wonderful Easter and always remember that the Savior lives and He loves us and that because of Him, ALL things are possible!!! Just keep the faith. J I love you and wish you a great week.

Con amor,
Hermana Baria
