04.17.2014 - I Turned 20!!!!!!!!!!!

The week leading up sounds like it was a great one! The wedding sounds like it was just beautiful and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them. So exciting. I can’t wait to see all the pictures!!!
My week was great too! I turned 20!!!! I’m not a teenager anymore. Hallelujah. My birthday was great. Thank you soooooo much for the cupcakes. That was the best surprise and they were so delicious. Don’t worry, I shared.  J Sister Hair made me birthday breakfast and it was delicious. J Sister Chavarri gave me one of her CapriSuns. Elder Glaus (one of my Zone Leaders) let me borrow his brand new cd that he just got last Monday for my birthday and he gave me a butterfinger. Speaking of…I still haven’t eaten it! Sisters Lattin and Bukoskie made me brownies and the best homemade card. Nothing super spectacular happened, but it was just filled with a bunch of wonderful little moments and acts of kindness. It was the best! Then your birthday package came for me and it was the best! Yay for new music and new clothes! You are the best!
Saturday was another great day. We got invited on Wednesday night to a recent convert family’s sealing on Saturday morning. We got permission to go and it was just perfect. I was so happy for the family AND I got to look at the sealing and picture Ben and Kate doing the same thing that same day! The best J I know that Heavenly Father looks out for us. Right after that we got to go to a baptism and it was beautiful. The couple was so happy and so grateful to be getting baptized. That afternoon we got to help at the Special Olympics and it was so sweet. The kids were so great and I just loved it. We went to Mesa for a picnic with a bunch of the Spanish units in the area and I saw my MTC companion and got to talk with her for a while. Then we watched the Easter Pageant. Our investigator Patricia came and she loved it. It was really good! We are going to go this Friday again with our investigator family of four. So exciting!
Sunday night I got to milk a goat! I was doing pretty well until I squirted my skirt! Oh well. J The members Natividad lives with have a little barn like structure and so when we where done milking we ended up just standing there and having a lesson. It was cool! He is doing so well. He built the iron rod for the relief society activity our ward had this week and he came to church again. We asked him what was holding him back from being baptized (because he wants to be) and he said he didn’t know. So we committed him to praying about being baptized on the 3rd of May. I’m praying so hard that he gets his answer! We’ll see. He is just so prepared and so ready.
Things are going well! I am happy and so grateful that I get to be here. I can’t imagine my life without the experiences I am having. I hope all is well with you and that you have a wonderful week! I love you!!!

Con amor,
Hermana Baria
